A Meal
What’s up people~ Today I’m talking about a
meal I remember.
It was like, 8 or 9 years ago. My grandma
was going to marry again with who had been his partner for a lot of years now,
so she was with his family on Temuco. We took a 9-hour long trip with my
parents, my aunt with his boyfriend and child and my uncle. On the road we ate
a lot of stuff that you eat on a long car trip, but sandwiches and boiled eggs
aren’t special.
The house where we arrived was really big, and it was full of
people doing the preparations. To this date I still don’t know who most of the
group was, nor I’ve heard anything about them, but I do remember they were
really kind and hospitable with us.
The first night we spent there, they took
us to an Argentinian restaurant that I guess was nearby (I really have no
memories of where we were or how were the places specifically) and we ordered a
huge Argentinian BBQ for the group of at least 15 people. I think I’ve yet to
eat meat as good as that one was, and I really enjoyed spending time with all
of them.
I’ve always loved my grandma’s husband as his charisma always made
things happier and meals tastier. Even tho the last thing I remember about that
night was falling asleep right there on the table after eating way too much,
and waking up on a dark guest’s room, I do remember having a good time, and it’s
one of the things that make that weekend in Temuco a good family memory
