A Holiday
What’s up
people~ This week’s theme is a holiday I’ve enjoyed. I’m more of staying home
and going out with friends on vacations, so I don’t have many experiences with
trips. The one I remember was the time when we spend a couple of days on a
beach house in Algarrobo two or so years ago.
My step-dad’s
grandpa was a somewhat wealthy man, and he did own some properties destined to
vacations. Apparently, this one lasts and it’s now owned by my uncle. He and
his family always stay there for one or two weeks every year, and that one they
invited us to go for a couple of days.
So we
reunited with my dad´s children from Talca one weekend and took the trip to the
beach. The house was amazing. The garden was precious and big, and one could
see the sea from almost anywhere; since we were very close to the beach. The
neighborhood was calm and nice, also, so the ambient was really relaxing.
If I
remember correctly, it was the first time I went to the beach on a really long
time, last time being when I was 6 or 7 years old. We went down to the beach as
soon we arrived the first day, and I remember spending a good couple of hours
playing on the water, eating palmeritas and wandering around dozens of ferias
artesanales with my dad’s son, whom I’m good friend with.
His younger
daughter went to the beach all day long the next two days, but as we were more a
couple of shut-ins we stayed at the house most of the evenings playing games. Even tho it wasn’t that much different from the usual, the change of pace
was amazing, the fresh air, the beach, the food, and sharing with family was all
pretty good.
sounds amazing!:)
